BTS's "Dynamite" Scores Guinness World Records Titles For "Most Viewed YouTube Video In 24 Hours" And More
BTS has reclaimed three Guinness World Records Titles with their “Dynamite” music video!
On August 21, BTS released the MV for their new English-language single “Dynamite.” According to YouTube’s official numbers, “Dynamite” garnered 101.1 million views in the 24 hours after its release.
Guinness World Records has now confirmed that this means BTS has scored the title for “Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours,” as well as “Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours” and “Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.”
The records were all previously held by BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That.” Before that, BTS held the records with “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey.
BTS also holds other Guinness World Records Titles including best-selling album (South Korea), most viewers for a music concert live stream, most Twitter engagements, and more.
Guinness World Records has stated that they are waiting on confirmation from YouTube regarding the records for highest viewers on a YouTube premiere. Stay tuned for updates!
