Yoo Ah In Tests Positive For Propofol

After testing positive for marijuana, Yoo Ah In has now also tested positive for propofol use.

On February 24, the police officially announced that the National Forensic Service had recently sent the results of Yoo Ah In’s hair test to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation unit. According to the report, a hair sample taken on February 5 tested positive for propofol.

Earlier this month, the police began investigating Yoo Ah In for the illegal use of propofol, and in addition to questioning the actor, they recently performed a search and seizure of various doctor’s offices and clinics in Seoul that are suspected of having illegally administered the drug to Yoo Ah In since 2021.

As part of the investigation, Yoo Ah In underwent both a urine test and hair test on February 5, and his urine sample tested positive for marijuana, which is illegal for recreational use in South Korea.

In light of the new evidence, the police intends to call Yoo Ah In back in for another round of questioning.

Meanwhile, Yoo Ah In’s agency UAA commented, “We are actively cooperating with the investigation,” adding, “We plan to explain all the issues that have been called into question.”
