Moon So Ri And Ra Mi Ran Join Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, And Kim Hieora In Talks For New Historical Drama
Moon So Ri and Ra Mi Ran may be joining a new historical drama that Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, and Kim Hieora are also in talks for!
On June 14, Star News reported that Moon So Ri and Ra Mi Ran will be starring in the new drama “Jeong Nyeon” (romanized title).
In response to the report, C-JeS Studios, the agency of both actresses, shared, “Moon So Ri and Ra Mi Ran have received offers [to star in the drama] and are positively reviewing the offers.”
Based off a webtoon of the same name, “Jeong Nyeon” is set in the 1950s and tells the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, a young girl from Mokpo who has no money or education but is born with a talented singing voice. The historical drama follows the happenings that occur when Yoon Jeong Nyeon joins a women’s traditional theater company to achieve her dreams of becoming rich.
If confirmed, Moon So Ri and Ra Mi Ran will star in the drama as members of the women’s traditional theater company.
In November, it was reported that Kim Tae Ri is in talks for the lead role of Yoon Jeong Nyeon. Earlier this year, Shin Ye Eun’s and Kim Hieora’s agencies also confirmed that both actresses are positively reviewing their offers to star in the drama.
The drama will be helmed by director Jeong Ji In of “The Red Sleeve” and will be penned by screenwriter Choi Hyo Bi of the upcoming Netflix series “A Time Called You.”
