World Scout Jamboree "K-Pop Super Live" Is Most-Watched Show Of Friday With Double-Digit Ratings
The World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live” reigned over Friday night television!
On August 11, KBS aired the star-studded concert live following coverage of the World Scout Jamboree closing ceremony. The large-scale event, which was revamped with a new performer lineup and venue after being postponed due to the heat wave last weekend, featured performances by NCT DREAM, IVE, NewJeans, ITZY, MAMAMOO, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X’s Shownu X Hyungwon, ZEROBASEONE, fromis_9, Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun Bi, Jo Yu Ri, KARD, xikers, P1Harmony, TNX, ATBO, Libelante, Forténa, and dance crew HolyBang.
According to Nielsen Korea, the World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live” was the most-watched program of any kind to air on Friday. The event scored an average nationwide rating of 10.9 percent, nearly 10 times the typical ratings achieved by KBS’s weekly music show “Music Bank” (which was cancelled yesterday due to the “K-Pop Super Live” concert), which usually fall somewhere around 1 percent.
Additionally, KBS’s livestream of the concert on its official KBS WORLD TV YouTube channel racked up an impressive total of 915,000 streams (with 120,000 concurrent viewers).
