(G)I-DLE's League Of Legends Collaboration Music Video "POP/STARS" Reaches 100 Million Views
The music video for K/DA’s “POP/STARS” (featuring Madison Beer, (G)I-DLE, and Jaira Burns) has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube!
The music video was uploaded on November 3 and reached 10 million views in three days, 50 million views in 10 days, and 100 million views 32 days after its release, sometime around December 4 at 9 a.m. KST.
32 days is the sixth fastest time it took for a K-pop music video to reach the 100 million views mark, following PSY’s “Gentleman,” BTS’s “Idol,” BTS’s “Fake Love,” BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and BTS’s “DNA.”
K/DA is a girl group formed through the transformation of popular League of Legends champions into pop idols. Madison Beer, (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon and Miyeon, and Jaira Burns, who provided the voices and the motion captures for the music video, performed “POP/STARS” at the 2018 League of Legends Worlds 2018 opening ceremony.
The day after its release, it took No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes K-Pop Chart, as high as No. 4 on the Pop Chart, No. 4 on domestic music site Bugs, and No. 40 on Melon. The song also topped Billboard’s World Digital Songs Sales Chart on November 14.
Congratulations to (G)I-DLE and K/DA!
