Kang Daniel Establishes His Own One-Man Agency Ahead Of Solo Debut

As he prepares to make his highly-anticipated solo debut, Kang Daniel has officially established his own one-man agency.

On June 10, Kang Daniel’s new agency KONNECT Entertainment confirmed that he had recently set up an office in the Gangnam district of Seoul. The agency’s name comes from the words “Korea” and “connect,” meaning that Kang Daniel aims to connect Korea to the rest of the world through his future activities.

A representative of KONNECT Entertainment explained the singer’s decision to found his own agency by stating, “Kang Daniel decided to go in the direction of establishing a one-man agency after considering from every possible angle what kind of agency structure would best suit his long-term activities.”

The agency representative added, “His decision was also heavily influenced by the fact that he wanted to return to his fans, who have waited for a long time, as quickly as possible. It was because a one-man agency, which can be both focused and effective in its work, is best-suited to [helping him] promote as soon as possible.”

Last month, the Seoul District Courts ruled in Kang Daniel’s favor in his contract dispute with LM Entertainment, allowing him to pursue independent activities without any interference from his former agency. However, LM Entertainment appealed the court’s decision, and the second round of court questioning for Kang Daniel and the agency is scheduled to take place on June 12.

Meanwhile, Kang Daniel returned to Instagram Live for the first time in five months on June 9, announcing to his fans in a live broadcast that he was working on new music for his upcoming solo debut.
