NCT, TWICE, BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, ITZY, BLACKPINK, And ENHYPEN Sweep Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week of January 1!
NCT’s new studio album “Universe” debuted at No. 1 on this week’s World Albums chart, in addition to becoming their second full-group album to enter the Billboard 200.
NCT 127’s “Sticker” also charted separately at No. 3, marking the album’s 14th consecutive week on the World Albums chart. “Sticker” also spent a 14th week on the Billboard 200, where it extended its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of 2021.
Meanwhile, TWICE’s “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” climbed back up to No. 2 in its sixth week on the World Albums chart, on top of setting a new record on the Billboard 200 for the highest sixth-week ranking of any album by a female K-pop act in history.
Once again, BTS landed a total of five albums in the top 15 of the World Albums chart: “Map of the Soul: 7” held onto its spot at No. 4, followed by “BE” at No. 5, “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 9, “BTS, THE BEST” at No. 12, and “Love Yourself: Tear” at No. 14.
TXT’s “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” rose to No. 6 in its 30th consecutive week on the World Albums chart, extending its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of 2021. SEVENTEEN’s “Attacca” followed at No. 7, while ITZY’s “CRAZY IN LOVE” jumped to No. 10 on this week’s chart.
Finally, BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” maintained its position at No. 11 in its 64th week on the chart, while ENHYPEN’s “DIMENSION : DILEMMA” re-entered the chart at No. 15.
