ITZY Nearly Doubles 1st-Week Sales Record With "CHECKMATE"
ITZY has doubled their first-week sales record!
On July 15 at 1 p.m. KST, ITZY released their latest mini album “CHECKMATE” along with the title track “SNEAKERS.” According to Hanteo Chart, the group recorded 472,394 copies sold in the first week of release, from July 15 to 21.
The group’s previous first-week sales record of 259,705 set last September by their first full album “CRAZY IN LOVE,” marking an increase of nearly double to set a new personal best!
Even before the group’s comeback, ITZY made waves as “CHECKMATE” became the fourth girl group album in history to surpass 700,000 stock pre-orders with 720,665.
On July 22, ITZY took their first win with “SNEAKERS” on “Music Bank” and the group is set to perform on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on July 23 at 10 a.m. KST.
